In Gengenbach, the seasons play an important role in the course of the year. Many big and small festivals mark the seasons: carnival the so-called “fifth season”, Palm Sunday, the Feast of Corpus Christi, several town festivals, “Kräuterbüschel” in August, where herbs and flowers are bound in the form of cartwheels and blessed, wine festivals in autumn, the Christmas market and the programme around the opening of the windows of the town-hall turned Advent calendar: there is always a reason to celebrate!
